This is the fascinating account of one officer's part in the liberation of Europe in WWII. It led him from North Africa through Italy and France into Germany.

Reiner Decher is a retired University of Washington faculty member and the brother-in-law of Chuck Bunting. Bunting is retired Chancellor of the Vermont State Colleges, and son-in-law to Roswell Keith Doughty.
